Essential Oil - Spearmint

Young Living Spearmint Essential OilSpearmint (Mentha spicata) has a minty, slightly fruity scent, softer than peppermint. A rich antioxidant, spearmint helps support the respiratory and nervous systems* and may help open and release emotional blocks leading to a sense of balance and well-being. Spearmint may also be used to enhance the flavor of food.

I’ve been diffusing my Young Living Thieves essential oil daily, 15-30 minutes once or twice a day - it’s cheaper and more fun to stay healthy, than to get sick and go to the doctor. The other day I felt like I wanted to have a bit of a different scent, so I added to my diffuser well several drops of the following YL oils to the Thieves oil: Evergreen Essence, Spearmint, and Tangerine - WOW, does that smell terrific!

Therapeutic-grade Spearmint Medical Properties: Increase metabolism, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, mucolytic, gallbladder stimulant, digestive aid. It has been used to help with obesity, intestinal/digestive disorders and hepatitis.

Fragrant Influence: Opens and releases emotional blocks and bring about a feeling of balance and a lasting sense of well-being.

Application: Dilute 1 part EO with 2 parts carrier oil; (1) apply 2-4 drops on location, (2) chakras/vitaflex points, (3) directly inhale, (4) diffuse, or (5) take as dietary supplement.

When using as a supplement, put one drop in a “00″ capsule with a little olive oil, or one drop in 4 fl. oz. of rice milk.

I also like adding one drop of Spearmint to my pasta salad, the flavor of spearmint with the other herbs in olive oil is so tasty.

CAUTION: NEVER use another brand of essential oil internally or in the same ways we use the Young Living oils as the quality is inferior and you will not get beneficial results.
